Cleanrooms are used in the glass industry
in the laminated glass production process.

Laminated glass or laminated glass is a safety glass that does not split into multiple pieces when fractured. Upon breakage, an intermediate layer, typically polyvinyl butyral (PVB), intervenes by holding together the glass layers surrounding it. Glass layering must take place in a controlled environment where air quality must respond to particular cleaning parameters, temperature and relative humidity.
In cleanrooms, the concentration of airborne particles is controlled through microfiltration, and temperature and humidity are kept constant, generally at 18°C and 25% relative humidity. Cleanrooms are constructed straddling the laminated glass production line at the coupling point between the glass sheets and the PVB (polyvinyl butyral) film. The cleanrooms are designed in perfect harmony with the needs of the construction companies and production line models.

Clean rooms are used in the glass industry for the production of laminated glass.
This process must take place under controlled environmental conditions.
Temperature and humidity should maintain constant values (generally 18°C with 25% relative humidity) during the entire stratification
process. As air inside the clean room must be particularly clean, Keyfrost air treatment units are equipped with air micro-filtering systems.
The air treatment unit can be standing with internal compressor and external condenser or with internal evaporator and external
condensing unit.

In the industry for the production of laminated glass in PVB storage rooms the atmosphere inside must have a temperature between 5 ° C and 8 ° C and a relative humidity of 25%.

The decoration of the glass is carried out through the process of silk-screen printing which until now has been the only way to decorate
glasses with colored paints.
Recently the new digital printing process has been introduced with the use of special ceramic paints which, vitrifying during the tempering
process, guarantee the quality of the image impressed on glass unaltered over time.

It is a machine dedicated to the decontamination of personnel entering a controlled atmosphere environment. The removal of particles, fibers
and dust from the clothing of staff entering the clean rooms is obtained by means of a powerful air flow that comes out from wthe side nozzles
and is subsequently filtered by the powerful filters which the equipment is equipped with.

In Keyfrost, we design and we realize the metal bearing structure necessary for the staging of the clean room. A structure designed specifically for the positioning of insulating panels, for entries and exits, for the support of suspended air handling units (where applicable), for the preparation of the air ducts and the possibility of
a PVB rolls crane lifting system.

The controlled ventilation system allows the exchange of the air of an environment with the outside. This is done through a forced
ventilation pipe installed on the wall that connects the outside with the rooms to introduce new and filtered air.

The walls of the clean room are made of self-supporting insulated panels.
The panels consist of a pre-painted zinc-microribbed sheet and insulating foam sandwich.

Clean rooms for the glass industry are built by Keyfrost specifically for the needs of the different manufacturers of glass lines.
The doors and pneumatic bulkheads, the glass input and output louvers, inspection and service windows are made ad hoc.
The windows generally have a thickness of 80 mm with triple glazing and double insulating chamber.

In the clean rooms of the glass industry there often is a lifting and loading system on the line of the PVB rolls.
These lifting systems in most cases need the installation of a specially sized and positioned overhead crane.

Inside the clean room a lighting system is installed suitable to the needs of work and security. The LED lighting technology is widely used.
